Can I Send My Scarf To Heaven?

I'm going to apologize in advance for all the pictures :) we had fun with this.

My neighbor Suzy learned how to crochet last week and she whipped up 3 scarves like it was nothing. So all of us thought they were super cute and we decided we wanted to make one as well! We went to Michael's and JoAnn's to get yarn and hooks to start our projects. Suzy's friend, Lexi, came to our room to teach us how to crochet.
As she gave us instructions, we all followed along!
 Look at that concentration ;)

So far so good! :)
This was my first try... notice how its wide at the bottom and skinny at the top.
This annoyed the crap out of me so I pulled it apart and started over again! Ha!

I finally started to get the hang of it :)

Working on my scarf before the hockey game!
Making progress.... :)

I wasn't the only one working on a scarf like I mentioned earlier. Here are some pictures of my friends that also did scarves :)

We are all basically pros now at crocheting :)

Here's my final product!!!!

Next I would like to make a head band because I have always been into the thick-headband look!

The reason this blog is so important to me is because Saturday night, November 17, 2012 my Grandma Kathy Roman passed away. I remember her teaching my sisters and I how to crochet so many times. It was always such a good time! November 17 is when I finished my first scarf. I wish I could have gotten the chance to show her! She would have been so impressed with it! I plan on showing her at her funeral on Wednesday. I know that I have a special angel looking over me now and I will continue to crochet to make her proud. I think God kept her alive until I finished that scarf. It amazes me.
 Rest in Peace.

Kase,
This is amazing!! Congrats on the scarf of course (maybe you could make me one for Christmas - hint, hint!), but the last paragraph made me tear up. God works in amazing ways.
Did I ever tell you my story just like this about Grandma Beadle? I always requested she make homemade chicken and noodles for me when I came to visit. I finally decided to try it on my own and they turned out super yummy. The next morning mom called me to tell me Grandma had passed away.
Same thing you felt with your G'ma Kathy. It was like she was watching over me and saw I could do it so she just let go and be in a better place
And...now I'm crying too. Love you and thinking of you!!!
